I was a bit anxious at the prospect of a two-hour archaeology tour, especially since Dingle was supposed to be our break from museums and history. But I'm so glad we took the tour! Michael was incredibly well-versed in local history, and the tour never felt like it dragged. It was particularly interesting to see examples of Celtic and Christian traditions coming together, to see the beehive huts, and to learn the history of the Blasket Islands. At every stop, Michael explained what we were seeing, but also gave us time to explore for ourselves. The tour is also a nice way to see the Slea Head Drive ... without actually driving (which can be slightly anxiety-inducing). In short, the tour was wonderful, and I highly recommend it!
